- Develop and implement procedures governing HSE matters in a form that is understandable to the relevant parties.
- Incident management- support sites to attend to in time and in full, with corrective and preventive measures in place.
- support sites to comply with safety requirements in the quarrying, processing and practically (onsite) and delivery process
- support sites in reduction in HSE hazards and risks. Improvement in positive performance indicators
- ISO 14001/45001 Management system compliance, including worker health monitoring.
- Support Plant/site participation in corporate & regional policies and procedures
- Support HSE improvement (from audits) list - update and completion of agreed tasks
- Expected to be 50% away from base location - up to 2 weeks each time on assignment.
Requirement:
- University (Bachelor’s Degree) or Specialized (Diploma) in relevant technical field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in sustainability/SHE position.
- Sound working knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health (OHS) and Environment legislation related to manufacturing mining, national and relevant international regulations for materials, chemicals, minerals and other product related laws/regulations/requirements.
- Plant, Mines –Practical Working knowledge of local laws, regulations and other requirements
- Knowledge and experience in the implementation and auditing of ISO45001 and 14001
- Experience or ability to train and motivate operations team.
- Good analytical skills with ability to write clear and concise reports.
- Solution-oriented and proactive approach.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills.
- Team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills across different cultures or work environments.
- Competent with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to lead HSE development, improvement of sites within country/area.
- Competent with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Fluent in English and Mandarin in both written and oral
- Certified training as an internal auditor for ISO 14001/45001 by an approved training organization is required
- Availability to be on site at plant and mine sites in the area on a regular basis, minimum 50% of the time.
